Sony Legacy Recordings in association with Capo Records, is proud to announce the next series of Rory Gallagher’s classic albums re-mastered. The reissued series of classic albums continues with the following Rory Gallagher albums ‘Stage Struck’ (1980), ‘Defender’(1987), ‘Fresh Evidence’ (1990)

Each reissue has been digitally re-mastered to stunning effect from the original ¼ inch tapes and features digitally restored original vinyl release album artwork, new booklet content and bonus tracks. The albums will be released in the UK on September 16th for a limited period in deluxe digi-packaging.

Rory Gallagher was a musician like no other. He was, and still is, one of the world’s greatest guitarists, singers, song writers and live showmen. His music lives on through generations of guitarists including Slash, Joe Bonamassa, Brian May, Johnny Marr and The Edge; and also through his amazing catalogue including some of his finest works included in this collection of releases.

Each of the three albums are now re-released in digipack form, with restored artwork based on the original first release cover art. The audio has been re-mastered from the original ¼” inch tapes. Each album includes exclusive sleeve notes, album reviews and rare photographs.

Guitar Superstar Joe Bonamassa Makes Recording History With The Guitar Event Of The Decade

On October 29, 2013, blues-rock star Joe Bonamassa will release Tour De Force Live In London (J&R Adventures), an unprecedented live concert event unfolding over four DVDs or Blu-rays recorded earlier this year at some of the most famous and iconic London venues: Royal Albert Hall, Hammersmith Apollo, Shepherd's Bush Empire, and The Borderline.

Tour De Force Live In London chronicles Bonamassa's atmospheric rise from the intimate club environment of The Borderline, to the prestigious Royal Albert Hall. Each individual evening is marked by a unique theme with different setlists, arrangements and ensembles providing the viewer with four unique performances. His journey begins in the intimate setting of the 200-capacity London Borderline with a three-piece band. The result is a jammy tribute to Bonamassa's earlier career, with songs he hasn't played live in years. Next is a blues-themed night at Shepherd's Bush Empire, featuring a horns section to create a soulful, big-blues-band feel. He then moves to the Hammersmith Apollo which opens with a short acoustic set before moving into a rock-inspired evening. Finally, at the Royal Albert Hall, Bonamassa treats the crowd to a half acoustic/half electric show of his most popular and well-known songs, featuring the acoustic band from his most recent release, An Acoustic Evening at the Vienna Opera House. Each night's performance features a different selection of songs over 60 in total and some having never been performed live before from his extensive career beginning with 2000's A New Day Yesterday.

Unlike previous Bonamassa live concert DVDs, which featured Eric Clapton, John Hiatt, Paul Rodgers, and Beth Hart, Bonamassa's special guests for these four shows were not musicians, but instead, a small collection of the world's most renowned guitars: Rory Gallagher's 1961 Fender Stratocaster, Bernie Marsden's 1959 Gibson Les Paul and the Peter Greene/Gary Moore 1959 Gibson Les Paul

On 28 October 2013 will see the release of ‘Kickback City’ a unique immersive album inspired by the crime noir passion and music of Rory Gallagher. Featuring a specially compiled album of Rory Gallagher’s best crime novel influenced music; the stunning package also includes an exclusive new novella by Ian Rankin fully illustrated by graphic artist Timothy Truman. This unique immersive album also includes a special narration of the story by actor Aidan Quinn.

Inspired by Rory Gallagher’s passion for crime novels, ‘Kickback City’ is a creative collaboration combining the words of Ian Rankin, the illustrations of Timothy Truman and of course the music of Rory Gallagher. The result is a brand new kind of concept album – a must have for fans of Rory Gallagher, Ian Rankin, graphic novels and newcomers alike.

Kickback City will be packaged like a hardback book housing 3 audio discs, including an audio version of the book read by Hollywood Actor Aidan Quinn, the 44 page novella ‘The Lie Factory’ and four ‘crime scene’ postcards. As well and the crime inspired Rory Gallagher compilation album, the set also includes a collection of live ‘crime’ tracks (Kickback City Live) recorded at the Cork Opera House, never before available as an audio release.
